About NRTC Rural Broadband

NRTC Rural Broadband LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC).

NRTC Rural Broadband LLC was founded in 2013 to offer commercial broadband products, services and solutions to consumers in rural areas of the United States. Currently, we offer the Viasat satellite service to more than 1,500 households in more than a dozen states. Where possible, we partner with rural electric and telephone cooperatives and independent telephone companies to make rural consumers aware of the service’s availability. These rural utilities share NRTC Rural Broadband LLC’s mission to connect rural households to the benefits of broadband.

NRTC represents the technology interests of 1,500 rural utilities and affiliates in 48 states. We help rural electric and telephone utilities strengthen their businesses with solutions uniquely suited to the needs of rural consumers. NRTC was founded in 1986 by electric cooperatives, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC).
